The structure and environmental context:

Newstead Model Country School in the Waikato Region of New Zealand.

The challenge:

Brief: To replace or upgrade the existing failed septic tank system and effluent application area.

Design requirement: 160 students and support staff – flow allowance 30L ea/day.

The solution:

Treatment method: Re-use existing septic tanks if possible plus BIOROCK ECOROCK-5000.

Treated Effluent Application method: Pumped, Low-Pressure Effluent Dosing (LPED) to the trench.

Outcome: Low operational cost, high-quality treated effluent, happy client.
