Sam has recently joined BIOROCK New Zealand as Business Development Manager. He is excited to be working for a sustainable company that is helping to solve the worlds environmental challenges. Sam enjoys building industry relationships and selling the features and benefits of BIOROCK, a product he strongly believes in.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago, Sam moved to Auckland where he worked in Financial Services Marketing. After gaining some corporate experience, he packed his bags and set off on his OE, ending up in the South of France. A keen sailor, he found work as a deckhand on a luxury superyacht. Having a passion for mechanics, he quickly moved into the engineering team where he trained to become a Marine Engineer.
On board ship he studied the theory of wastewater treatment and had plenty of hands-on experience operating, maintaining and repairing state of the art marine equipment. He gained an appreciation for the importance of the water industry and after 6 years at sea, he is thrilled to have returned home and be working under Geoffs leadership to grow BIOROCK in New Zealand.
