ECOROCK Wastewater System designed to serve accommodation and amenities for 60 workers

The structure and environmental context:

Our client is New Zealand’s largest grower, packer, and exporter of apples. Each season overseas visitors and people from the Pacific Islands arrive to assist with the harvest.

These temporary employees are referred to as Recognised Seasonal Employees (RSE’s) and as part of the complete package, our client provides quality accommodation and amenities on their various orchards.

The solution:

This example is of an ECOROCK system designed to serve 60 workers with a flow allowance of 130L each giving a daily total of 7800L.

The existing septic tank has been reused as a grease trap and the twin ECOROCK 5000’s are preceded by a 20,000L primary tank fitted with two outlet filters.

The treated effluent is then recycled into an area of land that will be planted and landscaped.
